The paths and bridleways have finally dried up enough to be walkable again. Parts are rough and stony, like some of the Camino Primitivo. There are some useful gates on this stretch rather than stiles to climb over. A welcome change!

I was brought up on a farm near York and worked in farming and allied industries until 1970 when Valerie and I spent 2 years at Bible College before going out to Argentina as agricultural missionaries. In 1980 we returned to the U.K. when I worked part-time at Bicton Agricultural College until ordination to full-time parish work in 1988. To get some idea of my background, the town of Dawlish was the largest place I have ever lived! . . . .
